It has a double strength insecticidal action and a new natural polymer system to repel water away from treated wood. Wood which remains dry will not be attacked by decay fungi. Brown Solignum penetrates deep into the wood, forming an active barrier against wood borers and termites. It is self-staining to allow easy quality inspection after treatment. Brown Solignum is recommended for all wood out of ground contact. Before application, wood should be dry, bare and free from paint or varnish. Apply in dry weather by brush, immersion or spray. Three liberal applications are recommended. Care should be taken to work the wood preservative well into the joints, ends and cut areas so that no portion of the wood is left untreated. All woodwork under threat of attack by insects should be treated periodically with Solignum. Timber already attacked should be drilled to allow access for the wood preservative.
